emphasizes mind-body techniques through body awareness, gentle stretching,
rhythmic breathing, deep relaxation, and strengthening postures. Yoga also
encourages concentration, endurance, continuance, and progression. Although many
people feel yoga is just for very flexible, pretzel type people; yoga does not
require a lot of flexibility, strength, coordination or experience. Yoga can
actually compliment everyday living and even enhance performance of many sports
and physical activities. People of all ages, nationalities, races, religions,
and creeds, fitness levels, as well as men and women, healthy or somewhat
unhealthy, and the strong and the weak may practice yoga.

can be considered a fitness plan of balance. Hatha is the more popular type of
yoga and it means to unite the sun & moon and create harmony.
