Biography:
Nancy
has received
U.W.
Parkside’s Wellness Certificate
completing 46
+ university credits, and received her Wellness certificate.
She has also completed education
and
graduated with a Diploma
in Fitness and Nutrition;
has completed a 16 week training coarse in Personal
Training/Coaching
By Telephone,
a16
week training coarse in Intuitive Eating,
and an 8 week training coarse in Beyond Diet & Exercise.
Nancy has received several fitness certifications, including her ACE
Personal Trainer Certification (CPFT). She
has received several other certification in Nordic Walking Level 1; Schwinn
Cycling; Weight Management; and Balance, Stability, Mobility & Conditioning
for age 50+ Adults. She has
advanced specialty training in Stott Pilates;
Inflated
Ball (large
& small) exercise;
Resistance/Strength
Training; Conscious Body Coaching; and Weight Management & Nutrition
Counseling. Nancy
is
also
certified
in Pilates Matwork,
Small
Apparatus Matwork
and Pilates Reformer
Basics
through
the SCW-Edu programs. She also has a
specialty certificate in Tai Chi/Qi Ging for Wellness Professionals. She
has been personal training since 1991 and since 1989 has been accumulating many
continuing education credits each year by attending college courses, fitness
seminars and conventions. She is an
IDEA
member.
As
a Yoga Teacher for 8 years and counting, Nancy
has completed 500
hours Hatha Yoga Teacher Training levels 1 &
2 and graduated
with a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Level
2 Certification
through The Kriya Temple.
She
is registered with the Yoga Alliance
(RYT-500).
Has
also attended Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Level 1 (32 hours).
She
has over 25 + years of off & on self practice
experience;
and, she has been teaching and pursuing further education and workshops since
1998. Member
IAYT.
Nancy
is also
a
WI State Certified Massage Therapist (CMT). She
is a graduate of the Wisconsin Institute of Natural Wellness. Has completed 650
hours of required curriculum in massage therapy, Oriental Bodywork, and
Traditional Chinese Medicine. She
has advanced training in Orthopedic Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Medical,
Sports, Fibromyalgia,
Cancer Recovery, Thai
Yoga, and Hot Stone Massage, Cranial
Sacral Therapy I, Myofascial Mobilization, Conscious Body Coaching and
Positional Release. She is a member
of AMTA.
Nancy
has written several articles in fitness, nutrition, wellness, and massage which
have been published in Action Magazine, IDEA Fitness Journal, and AMTA
Connecting Hands. And In 1993 was
one of three Judges for the Ms. Top Form Fitness Championships.
